Melanie. I’m not even sure where to start. We taught next door to each other for four years (nearly 10 years ago already). She’s just one of those people I know that I will always be friends with. Even when we don’t connect for a length of time, it’s always wonderful when we do. The conversation is always authentic, meaningful, inspiring, heart felt and life giving (and often involves some tears and much laughter). Those that know her, know that she has a heart of gold. She cares and loves deeply. She is adventurous, funny, compassionate and kind. She’s an all in kind of person, just one of the many things that I love about her! She lives in a way that always tries to honour God and his will for her life. Even when life hands her challenges (and it has), she is an amazing example of grace, joy, thankfulness and love. She lives out 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 like no one else I’ve ever met, “Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
It was such a beautiful day in the vineyard to photography this lovely family. Meet the owners of Riverstone Winery here in Oliver! If you haven’t been to their place yet, you should check it out!
This family came from different areas of the globe to be together, so family photos were required to capture the rare occasion! The laughs were plentiful as we walked around Hester Creek winery, capturing images of their family.
Spring is finally here! The blossoms have just appeared, the sun is out and we’re excited about new life! I had a great time photographing the M Family around this sweet little hobby farm. Ang, you are a beauty! So excited to meet your new little babe! I can tell that your little one will be surrounded by love and lots of eager hands to help out. As you already know, pregnancy is such a miracle. Enjoy these last days as a family of four as you anticipate all the goodness and blessings ahead for your family.
The weather hasn’t been very nice these days, however the rain held off for this lovely couple’s maternity photos. I love stormy skies and a bit of wind. Megan was just one week away from her due date. I loved watching these two interact as we captured some of their last moments before their sweet babe joined their family. Making the decision to have a baby is momentous, everything changes. The moment that baby is born (or even before), the love between a couple grows leaps and bounds. I’ve experienced it and I’ve observed it. It’s beyond beautiful. When a baby is born all eyes are on the baby, it’s what everyone notices and talks about. However, that unspoken quiet love between mom and dad is breathtaking. Even through tired eyes, that raw emotion and adoration is incredible. Megan and Alper, enjoy your moments, they are a gift unlike any other. Looking forward to hearing the news of your little one’s arrival!
